Hi! I’d firstly like to welcome everybody back! My name is Tania Devlin and I’m one your Deputy Head Girl’s here at St. Genevieve’s High School along with Siobhan Bell, Debra Hill and Kerry McWilliams. Siobhan and I are responsible for KS3!

I am currently studying Drama, Irish, Music and Religion. I have been a member of the School Choir for the past 6 years. Being a valued member of the Music Department has opened up a lot of opportunities for me as I have achieved grades in Musical Theatre, Voice and Music Theory enabling me to develop my overall musical ability. I encourage anybody who feels they have a talent for music or any other extracurricular activity to get involved within the school. There are lots of different clubs and teams to suit everybody’s taste! My favourite subject is Irish, and through St. Genevieve’s I have been able to participate in various competitions successfully.

Another achievement was to be able to become involved in St. Louis House Groups such as ‘Search’ and ‘New Day’ with Sr. Anne and Sr. Luca alongside my peers. These groups have given me the chance to improve my self esteem, enabling me to become a more confident and bubbly person. I had the opportunity to interact with lots of different people, and create new friendships. Through workshops with Sr. Anne I learned the importance of team work and how to respect other people’s opinions.

I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey through St. Genevieve’s, I have no doubt it will be a great one! Also if anyone has any problems or just needs a chat don’t hesitate to stop me in the corridor!

Good luck for the school year.
Tania
