Hey Girls,

My name is Siobhan Bell and I have been appointed to the position of Deputy Head Girl, Key Stage 3. I share this role with Tania Devlin. I am privileged to have been awarded this role and I will try hard, not only my fellow students but the staff, to do my best to fulfil the responsibilities I am given.

I am currently studying P.E, Travel + Tourism and Leisure Studies at A Level. For those doing exams this year I know it is a lot of stress but if you ever feel it’s getting too much for you, don’t be afraid to approach myself, the other deputy head girls (Tania, Debra and Kerry) or our head girls (Niamh and Grace). We will do our best to give you the advice needed because we have been there ourselves. The teachers are also always there to talk to if you are having difficulties and they only want what’s best for you so don’t be afraid to ask for help. Just put in the hard work and you will achieve the grades you deserve and it will all be worthwhile.

For those just starting the school this year I would just like to say welcome to the St Genevieve’s family. Enjoy your time here as you will make some lifelong friends and also make memories that will stay with you forever. As this is my last year, I can say my school life is something I will always cherish so I hope yours will be just as wonderful.

I would like to encourage you all to join an after school club. There is a wide range to choose from and it is a good way to form new friendships. I have been a member of the Gaelic team from 1st year so from my experience I can tell you that you won’t regret it. Our school works closely with St Louis house and I would like to encourage you that if you get the opportunity to be a part of any of the projects with Sr. Anne as it has been one of my favourite parts of my time in the school community.

Finally to my own year group, I think we would all agree in saying that the last 6 years have been amazing and I hope our last year here will be just as good if not better and one we will always remember. We will all be going our separate ways at the end of the year and I would just like to wish all of you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.
